TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX)- An elderly Jerome resident was rescued by neighbors from a house fire Sunday. According to the Jerome City Fire Department the fire is being treated as suspicious and possibly arson. The Idaho State Fire Marshal is helping in the investigation.

Authorities say the fire happened around 8:19am Sunday on the  200 Block of 8th Ave E.  The fire was called in by neighbor Sonnie Luttrell. Sonnie’s Husband Forest Luttrell, a city employee, and his friend Jeremy Lindsley rescued the elderly person who was unaware of the fire. When fire crews and paramedics arrive the home was 30% involved in fire.

It took crews about 15 minutes to bring the fire under control. No one was injured. The home is a total loss. Anyone with information is asked to contact SIRCOMM 208-324-1911.
