IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (AP) — An eastern Idaho woman who tried to climb through a train blocking the road lost her right foot when the train started moving.

Eighteen-year-old Sarah Mowers of Idaho Falls tells the Post Register  she was skateboarding home from work at 11 p.m. Wednesday when she came across the parked train. She says she couldn't see the front or end, so she sat down and waited. She says she became cold after 20 minutes and walked 100 yards south where she tried to climb between two cars.

She says that's when the wheels turned and severed her foot. Idaho Falls Fire Department Capt. Wynn Whitmeyer says the foot was detached when paramedics responded to her 911 call. Mowers says she's doing well and will be fitted for a prosthetic leg.
