BLACKFOOT, Idaho (AP) — A 23-year-old southeastern Idaho woman has pleaded guilty to voluntary manslaughter for a Nov. 20 stabbing death. Sheree Moreno of Blackfoot pleaded guilty Monday to the charge and to the use of a deadly weapon, which carries a 15-year sentence enhancement. Sentencing is set for March 17.

Moreno told District Judge Darren Simpson that she got into an argument with 21-year-old Salvador Valerio and in defending herself, stabbed him in the leg. He was found dead outside a mobile home in Blackfoot. Bingham County Prosecutor Cleve Colston said Valerio sustained several stab wounds. Moreno was arrested about 20 hours after the stabbing..
