IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (AP) — An eastern Idaho man who pleaded guilty to possession of methamphetamine with the intent to deliver has been sentenced to 15 years in prison.

The Post Register reports  that 29-year-old Ryan Smout of Rigby was sentenced Monday in 7th District Court and must serve at least two years in prison before being eligible for parole.

Smout fled on June 16, 2012, after police found 187 grams of methamphetamine and $7,800 in cash in a Harley-Davidson motorcycle connected to Smout. Smout turned himself in at the Bonneville County Jail on May 6. Police say the drugs found in a compartment of the motorcycle had been divided into plastic bags.
