There are 3 cases of the Zika virus now being reported in Oregon. That's right. Our next door neighbors to the west of Idaho now are dealing with one of the more scary outbreaks in recent years. 

If you're not familiar with the Zika virus, here's the breakdown from the Centers for Disease Control.

Zika virus is spread to people through mosquito bites. The most common symptoms of Zika virus disease are fever, rash, joint pain, and conjunctivitis (red eyes). The illness is usually mild with symptoms lasting from several days to a week. Severe disease requiring hospitalization is uncommon.
