Do We Go Over-board on Easter Gifts?

Don't get me wrong I think Easter is an important Holiday, and everyone in our community seems to be very involved in Easter activities. But I think we go over board with gifts on Holidays like Valentines Day and Easter. My kids were truly a little disappointing this Valentines Day because all they received was chocolate when all of their friends received some sort of video game or toy.

I really want to stick to my guns on this one and buy my kids smaller gifts because I think bigger gifts should be reserved for Birthdays and Christmas. On the other side of things...if Easter and Valentines Day are important Holidays why don't I buy my kids a toy and make a bigger day out of the holiday?
