Did you feel the "massive" earthquakes in Idaho this morning? Yes, there's some sarcasm here cause they weren't massive at all. There was a 2.9 and a 2.8 earthquake 16km NE of Challis, Idaho.

Even if you were sitting in Challis, it's likely it wouldn't have even wake your dog up. However, it's another gentle reminder that earthquakes do happen here and can even be violent like the 1983 Borah Peak quake that registered 6.9 on the Richter scale.

While we're on the subject of earthquakes, you might be amused at a new earthquake bed that has been developed. If it detects shaking, it will automatically hide you and has supplies stashed underneath. Frankly, I think I'd rather take my chances with the earthquake than the bed.
