The fight against the Prime Evils is venturing into the next-gen of hell.

VideoGamer reports that Diablo 3: Ultimate Evil Edition is being developed for the Xbox One concurrently with the PlayStation 4. Unfortunately, Blizzard has not yet officially confirmed whether or not the game will be coming out on Microsoft's new system. Given that Diablo 3 previously came out for the Xbox 360, an Xbox One version looks rather likely.

"[We] are developing for Xbox [One] and PS4 simultaneously," Diablo 3 lead producer Alex Mayberry said. "We hit those major platforms and then our goal as a development team is to make them run." Previously, Diablo 3 was originally announced only as a PlayStation 3 release but eventually launched on both Xbox 360 and PS3 on the same day.

Diablo 3: Ultimate Evil Edition will contain both Diablo 3 and its expansion pack, Reaper of Souls, and is set for a PlayStation 4 launch sometime this year. The stand-alone expansion will arrive on PC on March 25.
