While PlayStation users have been given priority in terms of exclusive content for Destiny, Xbox players won't be too far behind for its beta.

Eurogamer reports that the closed beta for those who pre-ordered Destiny on Xbox 360 and Xbox One will start in late July. Destiny's closed beta for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 pre-orders will start on July 17. This means that the Destiny beta for PlayStation consoles will start roughly two weeks before Xbox users start having access. It has been revealed that an Xbox Live Gold or PlayStation Plus subscription will be required to play the beta. Unfortunately, there has yet to be any indications as to how long this beta will be playable.

While the closed alpha test of Destiny provided only a small portion of its content, Bungie mentions that a lot more features, levels and activities will be available during next month's beta.

Expect Destiny to hit store shelves and the digital market on Sept. 9 for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.
