Destiny Alpha Had Nearly 6.5 Million Games Played
How well did Destiny’s alpha test do? Bungie’s statistical breakdown shows off some very surprising numbers.
Bungie has announced the milestones it achieved with its alpha testing of Destiny last week. The Halo creators admit that making an alpha build of a game public, especially one as massive in scope as Destiny, is always a risk, but the studio has learned much from its testers. Bungie even admits the build that was made public was old compared to its current builds, but they still found quite a number of bugs and errors they normally would never allow.
By the end of Destiny’s alpha, Bungie reports the following statistics based on the 6,461,871 games played:
Destiny is set for a Sept. 9 release on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. A beta will go down later this summer on PlayStation first. Sony will also have exclusive content for its versions of Destiny when it arrives.
