TWIN FALLS, Id. (KMVT) The College of Southern Idaho has selected Jeff Harmon to be its next Vice President of Administration following the retirement of Mike Mason who held the position since 1991. Harmon officially started the job Jan. 1.

After graduating from CSI, Harmon received his Bachelor’s degrees in Business Administration, in Accountancy and Computer Science from Boise State University followed by his Masters of Education from University of Idaho. Harmon has worked full time at CSI for 24 years, first as Assistant Vice President of Finance then as the Dean of Finance. Prior to being employed full time Harmon practiced locally as a Certified Public Accountant and taught evening classes for CSI. In his prior position, he worked very closely with Mason and feels well prepared for the new job. Harmon said “After celebrating our first 50 years, I look forward to being instrumental in moving CSI to the next 50 years with a strong commitment to continuing the mission of the college.”

In his new role, Harmon will work directly with President Jeff Fox and Executive Vice President and Chief Academic Office Todd Schwarz. Primary responsibilities of Harmon’s new job will include overseeing the college’s finance and business operations, auxiliary enterprises, physical plant maintenance, security, and community umbrella agencies.

CSI has listed a job opening for Chief Financial Officer. When hired, this person will take over the position that Harmon had.
