A few days ago, photos snapped from the set of Guillermo del Toro's upcoming horror tale, 'Crimson Peak,' hit the web, though only offering a few glimpses at production. However, a proper look at two of the leading cast members, Tom Hiddleston and Mia Wasikowska, in full costume are here to give us more insight into this film.

If you recall, 'Sherlock' himself, Benedict Cumberbatch, and 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2' star Emma Stone were originally slotted in the leading roles, though they would soon abandon 'Crimson Peak' and be replaced by the Marvel villain with the massive fan following and Ms. 'Alice in Wonderland,' and the latter duo certainly fill out the costumes nicely.

Paparazzi got the drop on Hiddleston, Wasikowska and co-star Jim Beaver (not shown below) on set in Toronto, as they were all costumed in full Victorian garb in preparation for filming. With Hiddleston looking very Edgar Allan Poe and Wasikowska strapped with a human hand-holding belt, you can see where the horror inspiration sets in.

We've only picked up bits and pieces of information about Guillermo del Toro's upcoming horror piece, but so far we know that "it’s set at the turn of the century and it is a gothic romance with ghosts … Dark and stormy and wind-swept," said the director. He even later teased that "the script itself is bone chillingly terrifying. When I was reading it for the first time I had to get up and walk around the room, then sit down again because I was so scared."

Jessica Chastain and Charlie Hunnam, who both worked with del Toro prior on 'Mama' and 'Pacific Rim,' respectively, are also on board the cast, and the film itself is set for release in April 2015.
