TWIN FALLS, Idaho (AP) — Crews are working to plant sagebrush seedlings in areas of the Twin Falls District of the Bureau of Land Management that were burned by wildland fires.

The Times-News reports that Lucky Peak Nursery has just completed packing 538,000 seedlings to send off to be planted. Crews started planting seedlings Oct. 19 near the Nevada and Idaho border.

BLM Fuels specialist Justin Miller says all of the areas have been burned in previous years and are part of a fuels program, not a fire rehabilitation project. Miller says the fuels program is always trying to improve wildlife habitat.
