SHOSHONE, Idaho (KLIX) – Fire crews are at the scene of a brush fire south of Shoshone.

The fire started before 3 p.m. Friday and has grown to about 220 acres, said Ryan Berlin, spokesman for the Bureau of Land Management.

Currently six engines and one water tender are at the site. Berlin said containment should be reached by about 8 p.m., and crews expect to have it controlled by 8 p.m. Saturday.

The Notch Butte Fire is believed to be human caused, he said, but it is still being investigated.
