Starting Saturday, April 16, you can go to Craters of the Moon National Reserve for the awesome price of free. Has someone in the government gone crazy? Probably. But, that's not this. Saturday is the beginning of National Park Week.

Saturday is a good day to check out Craters of the Moon, Yellowstone or whatever parks you feel up to driving to. It's National Junior Ranger Day with a bunch of activities for kids. It's hard to tell from their website if Craters of the Moon will offer National Junior Ranger Day activities, so best to check ahead to be sure. They do offer a badge for kids that complete their Junior Ranger booklet. I love badges.

If you're new to the Magic Valley and not sure of what parks are close to you, you can use the handy Find Your Park website. Might as well take advantage of the amazing price of free while you can. National Park Week ends on April 24.
