TWIN FALLS, Id. ( KMVT / KSVT ) A 16 year old girl has died following a crash in Twin Falls county Monday. Lori Stewart with the Twin Falls County Sheriff’s office says the accident happened at the intersection of 4200 North and 1700 East around 6:12 PM.

According to the sheriff's office, Candice Sosa–Redd, 21 of Buhl, was Eastbound in a Dodge Stratus when she slowed but didn’t stop at the intersection. She pulled into the path of a semi truck.

That's when her car was hit on the passenger’s side.

She and her passenger, identified as Rachel Sosa, 16, had to be extricated.

The teen was taken by air ambulance to Boise where at around 10 pm Monday, succumb to her injuries. The driver was taken by ground to St. Luke's for treatment.

The crash is still under investigation.
