On April 27, 2014, at approximately 12:40 a.m., Idaho State Police investigated a one-vehicle crash at the intersection of 100 North and 100 East near Rupert, Idaho.

Dakota B. Twiss, 18 of Paul, was driving a 2002 Volkswagen Jetta northbound on 100 E when she failed to negotiate the curve, continued onto the shoulder, and struck the railroad tracks. After striking the tracks, her vehicle rolled, landing upright on the railroad tracks.
Dakota Twiss and her passenger, Mylee Pratt, 18, of Paul were transported by private vehicle to Minidoka Memorial Hospital. Dakota Twiss succumbed to her injuries at the hospital. Neither of the subjects were wearing their seatbelts.

Both roads were blocked from 12:40 a.m. until 8:11 a.m.

This crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
