BURLEY, Idaho (KLIX) – Construction crews will be working over the next month to replace eight picnic shelters at the campground at Lud Drexler Park near Salmon Falls Dam.

Because of work being done at the campground, temporary closures have taken place at some of the park’s 20 campsites.

The existing wooden picnic shelters are in poor condition and will be replaced with steel structure shelters on concrete pads, according to the Bureau of Land Management. The BLM also has future plans to replace and install additional shelters and fire rings throughout the campground.
