TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX) – Bicyclists were led by a police escort through parts of Twin Falls on Tuesday evening in honor of fireman Ryan Franklin.

Franklin died May 18 after being hit by a car while riding his bicycle south of Kimberly. The 34-year-old fireman, who worked for the city of Twin Falls, was an avid cyclist. A “ghost bike” – a white road bicycle – was placed as a memorial at the place of his passing.

As a police car led the group through the city, a fire truck, its lights also flashing, trailed the bicyclists.
