(KLIX)- The City of Twin Falls’ 2013 budget is set in stone. City council voted unanimously to approve the $49.2 million dollar budget. Its up about seven and a half percent or roughly $3.5 million. Property owners will see a tax rate increase, but at the same time values have gone down. So most home owners will likely see a slight decrease in how much they pay. This was the public’s chance to weigh in on what they thought of the budget. However, only a small handful showed up and voiced their concerns. The budget also included sanitation, sewer, and water rate hikes. It also ups the pay for city employees in hopes of retaining good employees. The 2013 budget begins October 1st.
