When we first saw this video we thought "oh my..." Is this one of those underground fight clubs we keep hearing about? The video was poor quality. It looked dark, dank, and seedy, and the fight itself was brutally awesome.
Turns out it's a bit more than that.
Country singer Ronnie Dunn – one half of superduo Brooks & Dunn – talked with Taste of Country a bit last week about musicians that influenced him. Among Dunn’s more interesting recent influences: “I love Harrison’s slide guitar on ‘Something,’” the singer told Taste of Country.
Dunn has of course been impactful in his own wide-ranging way, and the wild diversity of Brooks & Dunn covers on YouTube are a pretty-great sample of his influence. Last Friday, Reddit user JackMomma shared a video of a twentysomething man dancing at a bus stop. According to his post, his wife shot the video and uploaded it to YouTube after she noticed the man would dance the same dance at the same bus stop every single day.
Over the weekend, talk-show host Conan O'Brien gave the commencement speech at Dartmouth College. Not surprisingly, the self-deprecating funnyman began his speech by stating how ridiculous it was that "a television talk show host" had been selected to impart wisdom.
Even less surprising was that Conan's speech turned out to be really good. He touched on the tough job market and the unfairness of life, and told the crowd that, while they shouldn't fear failure, they should "do their very best to avoid it."
