We took a look back at the Western Days Parade, gave the truth about posting legal notices on Facebook, went fishing, and found a flying cat. Sounds like a rich, full week. Here's what Terry was talking about last week.
There are entire websites dedicated to parenting fails and while most appear to be harmless, some make you question just how long the victimized kid will live in such a dangerous environment. Take this video of a couple parents who put their kid in a washing machine at the laundromat as a way to teach him a lesson. Seems like a funny prank at first, but then the auto lock system kicks in and everyone starts to freak out. (Note: this video may be too intense for some viewers.)
This dramatic video of a father jumping out of a speeding car to save his daughter started making rounds yesterday. I first spotted it on Gizmodo. Apparently the little girl somehow managed to get into the front seat of the vehicle, unlock the door, and jump out into traffic. Her father somehow managed to get to the passenger seat and then jumped out into traffic to save his daughter's life. I call that a hero. The comments on the video take a very different angle. Are they right?
I dislike flying. On my journey to Atlantic City and back I had to take six separate flights. One was actually delayed in Atlanta due to a severe storm in Philadelphia. Now I see this video and think how safe my flights actually were.
What did you do with your weekend? Some MIT students actually played Tetris on a building. Don’t you feel like a total waste?
We’ve posted quite a few articles exalting our love of bacon.
Saturday marked the 100th anniversary of the Titanic disaster. It took 73 years to find the ill-fated luxury liner, but there are many sunken ships that are still unaccounted for. Most notably is the USS Indianapolis, immortalized by the 1975 movie "Jaws."
As part of their 100th Anniversary celebration, Universal Pictures has fully restored the original summer blockbuster movie 'Jaws' and is releasing it in high definition on BluRay this August. Easily one of my favorite movies of all time, Spielberg's 1975 masterpiece created the concept of a summer popcorn smash, and until 'Star Wars' came out four years later, had all the box office records to prove it.
Think about all the great moments: Chrissy's demise on the beach, Chief Brody's arguments with the mayor, Quint's speech about the USS Indianapolis, and that that last great confrontation with the shark aboard the Orca.
Today, we see this cute video of a man swimming with a polar bear and next week, he's mauled over a misunderstanding about a butter-finger.
These are wild animals. I applaud conservation but these are still WILD animals, aren't they?
It’s Monday, and taking that into consideration, we thought it would be awesome to start the week with a cat video. Not the usual for this website, but it’s time to think outside the litter box. Also, we’ve been holding onto that joke for seven months.
They say when you lose one sense, your other senses compensate. In the case of 15 year old piano prodigy Kuha’o who has been blind since infancy, his ivory-tickling powers are unparalleled.
