According to multiple sources in the tech industry, Apple will announce the new iPhone at an event on September 12th. The highly desired device will then go on sale Friday, September 21st. Tech journalists have been salivating over the possibility that this may be the first iPhone ever with a bigger screen, and the leaked images and parts seem to confirm that.

Facebook Finally Updates Its App for iPhone and iPad

I vehemently disliked the old Facebook app for iPhone and iPad. It was slow, moody, and there was no such thing as "instant notification." Using the Facebook app on my iPhone was always an exercise in frustration.

Apparently Facebook has heard our screams of anguish. Today they released version 5.0 for iOS, and it is remarkably faster.

What Would You Pay For 150 Apps?

I generally have no problem paying $0.99 for an app on my iPhone. When I hit $5.99... or $6.99... or even $9.99... then I start to have reservations. But today I stumbled onto an app that has 150 apps built into it! 150!

‘Pitfall!’ Celebrates 30th Anniversary

My first video game system arrived on Christmas Day, 1982: the Atari 2600. It was boxy, angular, had strange switches on it, and swaths of faux wood paneling. And it was brilliant.

I wasted so much of my youth playing bare-bones, pixelated games like 'Asteroids,' 'The Empire Strikes Back,' 'Combat,' and 'Raiders of the Lost Ark.' But my one of my favorite games was 'Pitfall!'

Now it's back!

Buy Refurbished Apple Products and Save A Lot of Money

I don't think it's any secret that I love Apple products, but you may not know that I rarely buy brand new Apple products. I swear by refurbished products. They are refurbished by Apple to a state that's every bit as good as brand new, you get a warranty, and in some cases you can get Apple Care. The best part? Buying refurbished saves you money. In some cases, a lot of money.

Mars Curiosity Photographed By 2nd NASA Spacecraft

NASA's Mars Curiosity rover made touchdown on the red planet last night utilizing an incredible Rube Goldberg landing system that included a parachute, retro-rockets, and a sky crane. Amazingly, it all worked perfectly and Curiosity is now telemetry and images back to Earth.

But it's an image from another NASA spacecraft that has taken our breath away today.

How Often Do You Change Your Password?

How often do you change your password? Honestly, I don't change mine nearly enough and I've paid for it. I've had my several of my accounts compromised before I learned my lesson.

But the lesson a former writer for the technology site Gizmodo.com learned yesterday was much more severe, and makes a cautionary tale for all of us.
