The 34th annual CSI DECA Harvest Time Festival is coming up. This is a big holiday arts and crafts show in the Expo Center with nearly 190 vendors this year. It’ll be all day Friday and Saturday, November 9th and 10th and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, the 11th.
This Saturday is the big Halloween Carnival for all the kids in the community from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the CSI Rec Center. Lots of games, prizes, activities, and treats. Bring the kids in costume. It’s free and open to everyone.

I was feeling pretty bad for myself when I saw that my BBQ grill had been blown over by the wind storm that struck the Magic Valley until I heard about ALL of the power outages across that valley. Not to mention the rumor that a tree had fallen on an elementary school!!
I have a friend who claims that the best BBQ in the Magic Valley comes from an angry man in Gooding who cooks over a wood fire. I have also been told the best BBQ comes on a Hoagie in Kimberly. I personally don't feel like I have had true Southern BBQ in The Magic Valley.
CSI’s U-Pick garden will be open only until this Saturday. We have some melons, squash, pumpkins, and raspberries left. 50-cents for the veggies and $3 a pound for the raspberries. Bring your own container to take stuff home.
