Following the success of her No. 1 single "Burning House," Cam has selected "Mayday" as her next single.

The song is about a relationship that's been struggling for a while, and the lyrics lament the fact that the subject needs to get out of the relationship, but she just can't seem to do it.

"You are overbearing; I'm not in love / But I don't wanna tell you / We've been contemplating how to give it up / But I can't convince you / And we've been hopelessly holding too tight / When we don't even need to," Cam sings. "And as the water fills this sinking ship / I know we have to leave, too / Mayday, mayday / This is an emergency ..."

"Mayday" comes off of Cam's debut full-length album, Untamed, which dropped in mid-December. The single is set to impact country radio on Feb. 15, and the singer will officially debut the song on Ellen on Friday (Jan. 29).

The year 2016 is looking to be a promising one for Cam: In addition to releasing this new single, she is opening for Brad Paisley on his 2016 Crushin’ It World Tour and is nominated for Best Country Solo Performance at the 2016 Grammy Awards.

Untamed is available for purchase through Cam's official website.
