Boise, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) - A Salinas California man was sentenced Wednesday for his part in the First Federal bank robbery that occurred in 2014. Juan Loredo, pled guilty to bank robbery by use of dangerous weapons and brandishing of firearms during the commission of a felony. 

U.S. Attorney Wendy J. Olson said that according to the plea agreement, on November 20, 2014, Loredo and Shawn Smith robbed the bank in Twin Falls. As the men entered the bank, Loredo brandished a sawed-off shotgun and Smith brandished a semi-automatic pistol at the tellers and manager.

They stole more than $7,000, all of which was recovered by police when the men were arrested after a high-speed vehicle chase, and foot pursuit.

In District Court Judge Edward Lodge sentenced Loredo to 12 years 11 months in prison followed by five years of supervised release.
