CALDWELL, Idaho (KTVB) - A Caldwell man has been found guilty of voluntary manslaughter in a gang-related killing last Christmas Eve.

The Canyon County Sheriff's Office confirms that a jury has convicted 19-year-old Jacob Hernandez. The trial lasted more than a week. Hernandez was originally charged with second-degree murder. He was found guilty of voluntary manslaughter, along with two counts of aggravated battery and two counts of kidnapping. Hernandez had maintained he was not guilty in the attack in front of a Caldwell apartment that killed 22-year-old Ricky Sedano and injured two other men.

Also charged in connection to the stabbings are 20-year-old Edgar Covarrubias, 23-year-old Gilberto Garza and 19-year-old Gustavo Rodriguez. All three have pleaded not guilty. Hernandez is scheduled to be sentenced on Nov. 24.
