BUHL, Idaho (AP) — A south-central Idaho man who police say nearly caused a head-on collision with a police vehicle has been charged with drunk driving. The Times-News reports that 24-year-old Moises Rivera Rosales of Buhl was charged Tuesday in 5th District Court with driving under the influence and having an invalid driver's license.

Police say Rosales on Monday evening drove his 1995 Chevrolet truck in the wrong lane on Burley Avenue, forcing Cpl. Jeremy Engbaum to pull off the road to avoid a collision. Engbaum turned around and pulled over Rosales and determined Rosales had been drinking. Police say Rosales was taken to the Twin Falls County Jail where his blood alcohol content measured 0.174, more than twice the legal limit of 0.08.
