BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Boise State can again wear its blue on blue while playing on its blue turf. The NCAA ended a uniform spat with the school Thursday by agreeing to allow the Broncos to wear blue shirts and blue pants during all home games.

The governing body had previously issued a rule requiring football teams to wear jerseys or pants that were a different color than the playing field. Broncos head coach Chris Petersen praised the decision, saying it appears the NCAA has finally come to its senses.

Petersen added there are many things more important that what color uniform players are wearing. It's not the first time the blue-on-blue uniforms have been outlawed. During the last two seasons, the Mountain West Conference banned the all-blue combination during home conference games.
