UPDATE: JEROME, Idaho (KLIX)- Fire officials are in Jerome trying to determine the cause of a fire that broke out Tuesday afternoon. According to city officials the State Fire Marshal is on the scene looking for clues.

JEROME, Idaho (KMVT) – Jerome Fire Officials are still on a structure fire this morning that broke out yesterday afternoon. Jerome officials are urging people to stay away from the scene.

Idaho’s First News and kmvt.com report officials expected the fire to burn throughout the night. The fire was reported at about 4:30pm Tuesday at 126 West Main Street next to the Harvest Moon cafe.

Around 50 fire fighters from across the Magic Valley were called to help battle the blaze. The Rock Creek/Kimberly, Richfield, Bliss, Wendell, Shoshone and Twin Falls fire departments have been helping Jerome Fire fighters. They have since left the scene. A total of 9 apartments, 10 families with 47 people have been displaced.

No one has been hurt. The Red Cross has set up a command post at the Jerome County Fairgrounds. Idaho’s First News says the first building that was reported on fire collapsed. An explosion was reported.
