My daughter was struggling with her homework the other night.  I'm not always the best help but I always make it a point to TRY.  I consider myself lucky that she's making an effort so I think I should take as much time as possible to show interest in her work and help out when I can.

This was her challenge:  She had ONE word left to go in a word search and she couldn't find it.  I sat down with her and we started looking over the puzzle.  Then I learned something about myself.  I suck at word searches...

Here's where I want you to stop reading because I think what I did makes me a bad example to my daughter.

You see, a word search is all about letters and text, right?  And any computer is easily capable of searching out text once is properly formatted.

So I showed my daughter how to scan, reformat and search for letters and BAM, we found the missing word.

I have been second guessing my choice ever since.   Did I just teach my daughter to cheat?
