Rocker and former Creedence Clearwater Revival member John Fogerty recently announced that he’s been working on a new record for the past few months with several superstar guests, including Brad Paisley, Miranda Lambert and the Foo Fighters. Though the album doesn’t yet have an official release date, Fogerty is set to tour this year, hitting Australia and New Zealand and potentially adding a North American leg of the tour at a later date.

Describing his cross-genre collaborators in an interview with Billboard, Fogerty says Paisley is “a person I really admire for a whole bunch of reasons and a heck of a nice guy, too.” He goes on to say of Lambert, “She’s a great voice and a great, soulful presence in music, and really a delightful person.”

This comes at a time when Paisley is gearing up to join Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan and others at the 2012 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. On Jan. 12, he’s beginning his newly-named Virtual Reality Tour in Grand Rapids, Mich. with special guests the Band Perry and Scotty McCreery.

Balancing an equally busy career, Lambert, who is just getting over a bout of food poisoning, recently saw her ‘Four the Record’ album go gold. The country queen also making her acting debut soon, appearing in an episode of ‘Law and Order: Special Victims Unit.’
