Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel Dev Diary Shows the Move to Australia
We get to see how Gearbox Software decided to go to the Land Down Under in order to take us to the moon in Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel.
Gearbox Software and 2K Australia have released a developer diary depicting the behind the scenes shenanigans that helped Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel come to fruition. The origins of the game started at Gearbox Software, where several staff members thought that there were still so many great concepts they could work with and expand from the first two titles in terms of story and lore before going on and working on the third title. It could be that Gearbox is currently working on Borderlands 3, which inspired them to outsource the development of the The Pre-Sequel overseas to 2K Australia. This video explains why 2K Australia was chosen as the studio to make that happen. What’s one of the most awesome things about this developer diary? We get to see Anthony Burch of ‘Hey Ash Whatcha Playin’?’ fame, who is now one of Gearbox’s lead writers.
Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel is scheduled for an Oct. 14 release on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
