The hospitality industry in Idaho has experienced a significant surge in demand, primarily fueled by the rise in tourism. Idaho's tourism and recreation industry emerged as one of the few sectors to fully rebound from the impact of COVID-19, making it the state's third-largest industry, and one of the most future-proof.

Grants available now covering 80% of tuition

The Idaho Department of Commerce is offering financial aid to Magic Valley area residents through the Idaho Launch grant funding, covering up to 80% of tuition costs for qualifying students enrolling in Boise State University's New Resort and Hospitality Management Program. This financial assistance presents a rare opportunity for potential managers in Southern Idaho.

The low-cost Resort and Hospitality Management Program

Boise State University's New Resort and Hospitality Management Program provides a unique opportunity for Magic Valley residents looking to carve out a career in the hospitality sector. With the Idaho Launch funding, qualified individuals can pursue a Certificate in Resort and Hospitality Management with an 80% reduction in tuition fees. 

The program, which encompasses seven classes and offers complete online accessibility, enables students to gain comprehensive knowledge and practical skills within a flexible timeframe, usually completing it within a year. 

Boise State's Resort and Hospitality Management Program

Cortney Campbell, a long-time Magic Valley resident, and dedicated instructor in the program, is looking to connect aspiring hospitality management students with the opportunities provided by Boise State University. With this program, residents of the Magic Valley can grab their chance to excel in a growing industry without needing to obtain credentials out of state.
