JUNEAU, Alaska (KTVB) -- A Boise man who ignored warnings against smoking in airplane bathrooms was jailed Thursday after a flight to Alaska.

Airline employees asked 55-year-old David Allen Cimino to leave the plane after it parked on the tarmac at the Juneau Airport. When officers approached Cimino on the tarmac, he refused to give his name and tried to run away, according to the Juneau Police Department.

Officers chased after him and caught him. That's when Cimino began to fight with the officers, police say. A female officer suffered a wrist injury and a bite to the cheek, while a male officer injured his hand.

Cimino gave up and was taken into custody after being threatened with a taser. Both officers and Cimino - who was scraped up during the scuffle - were taken to the Bartlett Regional Hospital for treatment.

Cimino has been charged with two counts of assault on a peace officer, two counts of criminal mischief and one count of resisting arrest.

The suspect is also wanted in Idaho for absconding from probation in a domestic violence case.
