BOISE, Idaho (KLIX) A staff attorney for Senior U.S. District Jude Edward Lodge has been named as a replacement for Fourth District Judge Timothy L. Hansen.

The Office of the Governor announced the appointment of Nacy A. Baskin to succeed Judge Hansen who is set to retire early next year. “I am humbled and grateful for being selected by the Governor for this judgeship. I am eager to bring my legal and business experience to the state judiciary and to continue my public service to the people of Idaho,” Baskin said.

Since 1993 Baskin has served as clerk for Judge Lodge and in private practice with a Boise law firm. Baskin studied law at the University of Idaho and recieved her law degree in 1991 after serving as managing editor of the Idaho Law Review. She also has a masters degree in business administration from Boise State University. Baskin is married with two sons.
