HAILEY, Idaho (KLIX)- Authorities placed the Hailey high school on lockdown as well as the College of Southern Idaho building mid-morning Thursday.

The Blaine County School District issued an automated notice to all parents saying Silver Creek High School, Wood River High School, Community Campus were put on lockdown. The lockdown was lifted after about an hour. District Communications Director Heather Crocker said Hailey Police determined there was not a credible threat against students or staff. She could not say if the threat had been phoned in or if it developed from within the schools.

According to CSI Spokesperson Doug Maughan a text alert was also sent out to students and staff advising them there was a shelter established inside the Community Campus building or to stay away from the area. The text and phoned alert was issued a little after 10:45 a.m.. Another alert was sent out at around 11:30 a.m. saying the campus was safe and to return to normal activities.
