BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) — Bison hunting season will open near Yellowstone National Park in mid-November. The Billings Gazette reports that southwestern Montana's bison season opens Nov. 15. The hunt has attracted more than 10,420 applicants for a limited number of licenses. A drawing selected 69 residents and 3 non-residents for the licenses. As many as 200 second-choice applicants could get a chance to participate if enough bison migrate into the state from Yellowstone. Bison season ends Feb. 15, 2016.
