Big Ed Beckley Injured In Weekend Accident
Hobbs, New Mexico ( KMVT-TV / KSVT-TV ) - Stuntman Big Ed Beckley was injured this weekend during a show in Hobbs, New Mexico.
Beckley fell short of the take-off ramp, the bike flipped and he was thrown off. This happened at the 'No Limits' Monster Truck Tour in front of several thousand fans. Beckley was air-lifted to a hospital in Lubbock, Texas where in remains Monday afternoon.
He suffered broken ribs, a bruised shoulder and has some breathing issues according to friends. He won't be down for long; the Texas stuntman says he hopes to be back doing what he loves in a few weeks.
Big Ed Beckley had been vying to jump the Snake River Canyon earlier this year, but the Twin Falls City Council denied the jump.
