It was recently revealed that all the principle actors in the forthcoming 'Batman vs. Superman' had been cast and all that was left was to finish filling out those supporting superhero roles that will continue on in the 'Justice League' sequels. Now, Scoot McNairy, who recently appeared in 'Argo' and Marvel's 'All Hail the King' One-Shot, has reportedly been added to the cast. Is he one of the latest members of the JLA?

According to Deadline, Warner Bros. would not address the casting of McNairy in 'Batman vs. Superman,' so we're all left speculating as to his role. However, we do know that this film will feature members of the inevitable 'Justice League' movie in a minor capacity, including Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman, Ray Fisher's Cyborg and Jason Momoa's Aquaman. So, could McNairy be taking on The Flash, Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter or even Shazam?

If you recall, an alleged lineup of WB and DC's upcoming movies was revealed ahead of the Comic-Con 2014 panel, and Kevin Smith, who loves toting his knowledge of the inner workings of DC, said it was accurate. That means, aside from 'Justice League,' we'll also see movies for Shazam and a Flash-Green Lantern team-up.

It would be lovely to see McNairy take on someone like The Flash (he does seem to have that Flash-y look), although it's worth noting that Holly Hunter, Tao Okamoto and Callan Mulvey also have 'Batman vs. Superman' roles that were newly created for the film. Though, if McNairy's involvement is in a similar capacity, wouldn't WB be up front about it?

The actor is an interesting choice, regardless of his role. McNairy is filling up his resume with eye-catching projects, like the recent 'The Rover' and the Michael Fassbender-led indie 'Frank,' as well as AMC's 'Halt and Catch Fire' and the upcoming adaptation of 'Gone Girl' (which stars the new Batman, Ben Affleck).

We'll surely hear more about McNairy at Comic-Con next month. In the meantime, 'Batman v Superman' continues production for a premiere on May 6, 2016.
