Avalanche Kills One North of Ketchum

North of Galena Summit, Idaho ( KMVT-TV / KTWT-TV ) The Blaine County Sheriff's Office is reporting a natural avalanche occurred mid–afternoon Sunday approximately 2.5 miles up Frenchman's Creek in the Smiley Creek area. Four riders were in the meadow area during the time and preliminary information indicates that one of the riders, a man was killed.  A woman was transported to the hospital with injuries and symptoms of hypothermia.
