Authorities Looking for Filer Suspect in Domestic Violence Incident

FILER, Id. (KMVT/KSVT) Police were on patrol at both the Filer Middle and Elementary schools this Wednesday morning as authorities searched for a man wanted in connection to a domestic violence incident.

Filer Police and the Twin Falls County Sheriff’s office were involved with the search. Lori Stewart with the Twin Falls County Sheriff’s office said at 7:27 a.m. they were called to a home in the 600 block of Main Street in Filer. A woman claimed she had escaped after being assaulted by a man. When authorities arrived, they believed the man was still in the home. SWAT was called to the scene. Later it was determined the suspect was not inside.

Officers are continuing their search. Because it’s an active investigation, the name of the suspect or further details, have not been released.
