BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Authorities say human remains found in the Boise Foothills belong to a woman who went missing last summer.

KTVB-TV reports that Ada County Coroner Dottie Owens says the remains were identified Monday as those of 43-year-old Ronie Jokim Parrott of Boise. The Sheriff's Office says a woman found the remains while walking her dogs on Feb. 13. Parrott was last seen Aug. 24.

The coroner says she is still investigating the cause and manner of Parrott's death. Investigators say the remains appear to have been in the Foothills for an extended period of time.
