Long-Term Unemployment Benefits For Unemployed Idahoans To Expire Soon
(AP) – The state Department of Labor says long-term unemployment benefits in Idaho will expire after Dec. 31, though some jobless workers will be cut off sooner depending on when they started receiving the federal assistance. Agency spokesman Bob Fick says the jobless benefits are being scaled back because Idaho’s jobless rate is improving and a new federal law is phasing out emergency assistance
TF City Council To Consider Annexation Of Chobani Property
With the construction of the Chobani yogurt factory well under way, the Twin Falls City Council will consider a proposal tonight to annex the property on which the new facility is being built. Right now the property is still outside the city limits and therefore the city of Twin Falls cannot collect city taxes.

Saturday afternoon, family, friends and a community remembered Army Staff Sergeant Daniel Brown, a Jerome soldier killed by enemy explosives in Afghanistan two weeks ago. A Twin Falls man could spend some time in prison after being found guilty on 10 counts of child sex crimes. 34 year old Aaron Frandsen was first indicted by a Twin Falls grand jury in December of last year after being accused of raping a female relative.
Twin Falls Woman Charged With Stealing From Bank
A Twin Falls woman has been charged with one count of grand theft after being accused of stealing money while employed as a teller at a Wells Fargo Bank Branch. 20 year old Krystyn Whittemore was arraigned yesterday. Twin Falls police began investigating the case last month after receiving information about the alleged thefts.

National Guard members are scheduled to deploy to Afghanistan as part of a Blackhawk helicopter crew that will support Operation Enduring Freedom. According to Natl. Guard Spokesman Col.
