Jackie

This mom, of two beautiful little boys, spends her mornings laughing at...and sometimes with, Brad Weiser. The rest of her day is like most mom's: school drop off, grocery store, school pick up, sports practice, etc. Idaho has been Jackie's primary home so you may find it surprising that she had to be taught how to camp when she was 25. In case you are wondering...it didn't go so well. Jackie loves vacuuming, long walks on the beach, running like Forrest Gump, rafting, and spending time with her friends and family. She doesn't like mayo and mean people but, she will give you a hug on any day but Wednesdays! Jackie is the co-host on 'The Morning Show with Brad and Jackie' on 95.7 KEZJ.

Ideas for Teacher Appreciation Week

It's National Teacher Appreciation week! If you are like me, you didn't plan anything so your scrabbling to put together a small gift for each of your child's teachers. Here are a few of my favorite ideas:

1. Pencil Vase. Buy a straight, simple glass vase and wrap it with pencils. Add flowers and a card and you are good to go.

2. Basket of Berries. Buy some berries and a cute container. Print a card that says, "We appreciate you berry much!".

3. Cookies. Bake some cookies for each teacher and attach a note that says, "You are one smart cookie."

4. Homemade stamped totes. Teachers are always carrying a lot of stuff. Buy a blank canvas tote and some fabric stamps. Have your children stamp the tote.

5. A plant or flowers with a note that says, "Thanks for helping me grow this year."

What St Jude Means to Us

The first time I heard about St Jude is when my grandmother sent me a Christmas card that said, "Instead of getting you a Christmas present this year, I gave a donation to the sick babies at St Jude in your name." I quickly learned, that while I was busy growing up, a lot of other children were not only sick but fighting for their lives.

Ian’s St Jude Story

Meet Ian...he is 6 years old, when he was 5 his mom was told he only had 6 months to live. St Jude changed that!.

One night, after little Ian had fallen asleep his mom cuddled next to him in bed, he woke up suddenly and hugged her tightly. “What happened?” she asked.

Ian replied, “Mom, you know what? God just came to me, and He told me that I have to go. It’s time for me to go to heaven.”

She told him, “No, only old people go to heaven.”

Jessica Turri’s story – St. Jude [VIDEO]

When Jessica was young, she participated in her school's Math-A-Thon. Her mom, Allison, a teacher, always felt they were helping the kids featured in the Math-A-Thon Funbook. But the summer Jessica turned 9 years old, she was found to suffer from acute lymphoblastic leukemia, the most common form of childhood cancer, and the family's perspective changed.

Jackie’s Huge Golden Retriever in a Nissan Juke

My dog is abnormally large but, I insist on taking her with me as much as possible. Transporting a dog of this size has it's challenges. I have to help her get in and out of the car, I can't put anything else in the hatch of the car if she's with me and I have to carry 3 gallons of water with me so she doesn't get dehydrated. I need the right kind of car to do all of these things.

Garage Sale Signs in Twin Falls [POLL]

I love a good garage sale! It's true that one mans junk is another mans treasure. If you plan on hosting a garage sale this spring you may want to think twice before you hang signs.

The city code states that all signage has to be on private property with the owner's permission.
