GOP Rep. Phil Hart Loses Re-election Bid
KTVB – A tax-protesting northern Idaho Republican representative has lost in his four-way primary. Rep. Phil Hart was defeated by challenger Ed Morse in Kootenai County’s District 2 race. Morse faces Democrat Dan English in November. Hart has been fighting the state and federal government over hundreds of thousands in unpaid income taxes.
Jay the Penguin Takes First Steps After Injury [VIDEO]
The good people at New Friends of Bushy Beach (NFOBB) in New Zealand care for and rehabilitate sick and injured penguins. When they took a yellow-eyed penguin named Jay under their wing, his foot was injured so badly they weren’t sure he’d even survive.
We’re happy to report Jay is up and waddling around again. Watch as he takes his first few steps (and try not to squeal too loudly).

Clarence Clemons, E Street Band Saxophonist, Dead at 69
Six days after suffering a massive stroke, saxophone legend and longtime E Street Band member Clarence Clemons has died at the age of 69.
Despite initial reports that Clemons was responding well to treatment – and despite a pair of brain surgeries to repair the damage wrought by the stroke – his condition worsened as the week wore on, and he died on Saturday, June 18.
