‘A Christmas Story’ Considered Historically Significant, Will Be Preserved in the Library of Congress
It's a major award! Looks like the Library of Congress is in a very Christmas-y mood, as Bob Clark's classic 'A Christmas Story' is one of 25 new films selected for preservation into the National Film Registry. Oh fudge, indeed!

‘The Hobbit’ in 48FPS Won’t Make You Puke Announces Warner Bros.
By now you're well aware of the controversy surrounding Peter Jackson's decision to shoot 'The Hobbit' in 48fps, a higher frame rate that has given the movie, at least in the early going, a sped-up and slightly disorienting appearance. (Read our review right here.) It has almost exclusively dominated the conversation regarding the highly-anticipated prequel, and today we have Warner Bros. weighing in to assure us that, contrary to some reports, 'The Hobbit' in 48fps will not make you nauseous. Always nice to know!

‘The Hobbit’ Clips: Six New Videos of Gollum, Wolves and Goblins!
The reviews for 'The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey' are piling in like a horde of angry orcs, and while most are positive (not including our own), the conversation seems to be dominated by the high frame rate Peter Jackson utilized to help bring the film to life. Fair or not, we had better get used to this being the main topic when it comes to 'The Hobbit', at least during the first few weeks of release.

‘Wayne’s World 3′ Plot Details Revealed; Mike Myers Already Wrote the Script
Believe it or not, it has almost been 20 years since 'Wayne's World 2' came out. (That little piece of info just makes our bones creak.) A long time, yes, but it's never too late to reunite with old friends, which is why we're absolutely delighted to hear that Mike Myers is working on a 'Wayne's World 3' with the lovable public access hosts from Illinois.

More 'Star Wars: Episode 7' news? Well, it's clear that, from now until summer 2015, we'll have at least one 'Star Wars: Episode 7' rumor for you per day. Not that we're complaining, mind you: has there ever been a movie in development more fun to speculate about? Hard to think of one.
Today we'll be bringing you updates from three of the "potential" directors of Episode 7: J.J. Abrams, Jon Favreau and out-of-left-field contender Colin Trevorrow ('Safety Not Guaranteed'). The initial names are just two of many dream directors of the sequel for fanboys, while the latter is someone who has actually been connected - however tentatively - to the film. Let's get to it!

No 'Star Wars: Episode 7' for George Lucas! In case you haven't heard (yeah right), Lucas recently sold his Lucasfilm empire to Disney for a meager $4 billion, giving the future of 'Star Wars' over to the Mouse House and Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy. A stunning development that immediately reinvigorated the 'Star Wars' brand and turned the entire fanboy focus toward the beloved franchise once again.
But what about George? He'll act as creative consultant on the next 'Star Wars' trilogy, starting with 'Star Wars: Episode 7,' but by and large he'll be leaving the force in someone else's hands. So the question is, what does the man do with his time now?

As the world knows already, character actor Frank Grillo was recently cast as the villainous Crossbones in 'Captain America: The Winter Soldier.' These days, when you're lucky enough to find yourself in a Marvel movie, it seems as though you're gearing up not just for one flick, but for two or three. (Unless you're Hugo Weaving.) It could be argued that Guillermo del Toro is the busiest man in Hollywood. The writer-producer-director often has several movies in various stages of development at one time, and the state we currently find him in is no different, with 'Pacific Rim' in post-production and various features ('Frankenstein', 'The Haunted Mansion') in the works. Perhaps his most intriguing project in development, however, is an updated take on 'The Incredible Hulk', which is being produced by Marvel Studios and ABC Television.
