The evil Templars' war against the Order of Assassins has gotten a lot more complicated with the rumors we have heard about this newest addition to Ubisoft's time-travelling stealth series.

According to Kotaku, the other entry in the Assassin's Creed franchise being made in tandem with Assassin's Creed Unity has been revealed. Last week, Ubisoft confirmed the existence of Assassin's Creed Unity with a new debut trailer. Unity is exclusively for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, but the newly leaked Assassin's Creed Comet will be available on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Reports claim that Comet will take place around the mid 1700s and will revolve around a sailor exploring the western seas of Atlantic Ocean, but will mainly be oriented around the Tri-state area of the early United States. It is rumored that Comet's protagonist, named Shay, will actually be a Templar, the main antagonist group of the series. Shay will be a sailor of some sort, which would continue the ship-based mechanics that were started in Assassin's Creed III and were upgraded to be some of the main designs revolving around Assassin's Creed IV.

Another source has told Kotaku that Haytham Kenway and Adewale will both be making appearances in Comet, with Kenway being the Templar antagonist of Assassin's Creed III who was the father of Connor, the game's main character. Pirated-turned-Assassins Edward Kenway turned out to be Haytham's father in Assassin's Creed IV. Hopefully, we will get to fully explore the Templar order even further once Comet comes out.

Now we just have to wait and see if Ubisoft unceremoniously announces Comet like it did Unity when that title's first details leaked.
