'Arrow' dropped a few bombshells on DC fans with this past week's "Heir to the Demon," introducing Ra's al Ghul's daugther Nyssa into Starling city with an unexpected connection to Black Canary, but the surprises have only just begun. A new extended trailer for the season reveals the Clock King plotting Oliver's "Time of Death" and more, while producers answer questions about the Nyssa twist, Suicide Squad and more!

You're warned of spoilers from last night's "Heir to the Demon" from here on out, but suffice to say, many fans were surprised to find that Nyssa ('Spartacus' Katrina Law) arrived to town looking to return Sara Lance to their romantic relationship, more than just the league. Speaking to reporters, executive producer Andrew Kreisberg said of the twist “[it] was really more about Sara than anything else. If you watch [episode] 205, there’s a reference to ‘the beloved’ and ‘you think that’s going to keep you safe.’ We talked about, ‘Does Ra’s al Ghul have a son?’ Then we were like, ‘Could it be Talia?’ We felt like Talia had just been done in the movies.”

While Nyssa will return later on in the season, Kreisberg said of the storyline:

Part of the reason we did this episode was to free Sara, at least for the time being, from the threat of the League of Assassins, which will allow her to fully be the Black Canary and come home. You got a glimpse of how some people are very happy and some people are very upset. You're really going to see how Sara's return affects everybody.

More than the Huntress' impending return and Canary's presence further crowding the lair Oliver had once been comfortable working alone within, the arrival of several new villains to Starling City may have a surprising purpose, as last we saw that Bronze Tiger was tasked to join a certain "Squad" that Amanda Waller had put together. Indeed, the March 19 episode will bear the title "Suicide Squad,' and see Lyla (Audrey Marie Anderson) return, with Waller, recruiting Diggle for a mission to lead the team. Apart from Diggle's complicated relationship with "Deadshot" Floyd Lawton (Michael Rowe), we'll witness Diggle-centric flashbacks to his time in Afghanistan with former friend Ted Gaynor (Ben Browder).

Of course, in the meantime Oliver will have the Clock King (Robert Knepper) to fend off and the complications of Slade Wilson (Manu Bennett) through either timeline, glimpsed in the hearty new trailers above and below, which also features Oliver donning some iconic duds toward the end. Plenty more lies ahead for 'Arrow' when the series picks up again on February 26, so take a look at the trailers, and tell us what you're most excited to see in the comments!
