TWIN FALLS, Idaho (KLIX) – If you’re looking for something to do this Saturday, you don’t have to look any further than the Twin Falls Police Department.

No, don’t get arrested. Come to the third annual Summer Bicycle Rodeo and Safety Fair, held 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on June 18 in the west parking lot of Canyon Ridge High School. The event, sponsored by the police department, is for young bicyclists in grades K-8 – but parents have to enroll their children for the rodeo.

Community partners that will be available to answer summer safety questions include the Twin Falls Fire Department, Twin Falls County Sheriff’s Office and St Luke’s Paramedics. The event is co-sponsored by Clif Bar, Epic Ride Cyclery, Spoke & Wheel Bike Shop, and Cycle Therapy.

Safety checks on bicycles will be available, and if your child needs a helmet you can purchase one at the event for $5. A new bike also will be given away to a lucky winner – but parents have to enter their kids in the drawing – donated by Spoke & Wheel.
